Hi, the view of the workgroup shown by the NET VIEW command is several hours out of date. Machines that are no longer connected to the lan are still shown hours after they have gone. I'm not sure that it updates at all without a reboot.The machine is not in a domain. Is not multi-homed (unless the virtual IPv6 interfaces count - on a lan with no internet IPV6 connectivity). The other machines are a mixture of WinXP-SP3 and Vista SP2 boxes, desktops and a couple of laptops.The relevant registry settings are MaintainServerList = Yes and IsDomainMaster = True. (I'll reboot the machine and retest with IsDomainMaster = False and report back.)I've used the browstat tool on some of the winxp boxes - I'm not sure about an equivalent that is willing to run Vista or Win7.Cecil Ward
